Legal Malpractice and Ethics--Our
Services.
Bucklin has over 30 years of experience in procedural and transactional work,
and also in selection and supervision of attorneys.
He had a broad background in actual management of other attorneys, and
in evaluation of attorneys and their work product in the context of
being their supervising attorney. Review & Research is
performed. Your materials are reviewed on an objective basis, and
the present status of the professional responsibility code and the legal
malpractice decisions of the state involved are researched. Opinions in a form proper for
interrogatory response and settlement discussion are prepared. Testimony for deposition or trial is
provided. (It is now critical to retain an expert who
can meet the Daubert-Joiner-Kumho style objections to expert testimony.
If you do not appreciate that need, then read about
that aspect of choosing an expert, found in the dozens of pages of
information on this site.

Legal Fees Disputes --Our Services. We review the file and materials and consider the eight critical factors on
attorney billings, plus the statistics on attorney fees. Affidavits
regarding the reasonableness of fees are prepared, backed by Bucklin's ability
to testify in depositions or courts. Normally this service is only
provided for cases where the legal fees in dispute exceed $500,000.

Corporate
Ethics Education and Services for Businesspersons -- Our
Services through the Corporate Ethics US Division. Businesses (including law firms) must be sensitive
to the expanding body of ethics best practices and law. At the separate
division of Bucklin.org, named Corporate-Ethics.US, we provide appropriate advice,
forms and procedures; and so that employees, lawyers, and
executives can avoid ethics problems that can put the firm into court as a
defendant. (If your firm is subject to federal sentencing
guidelines and you want an outside ethics audit, we can provide it.) Practical tools for
management are provided in these seminars and keynote talks. If you are
interested in business ethics you may want to check the dozens of pages of
information at
www.Corporate-Ethics.US As the name implies, the site is
devoted to business ethics for United States firms. |
