Law Office.Com  now run by FindLaw.com has a section with consumer answers to legal questions and a section that is a good general place to connect to other places for legal information..

'Lectric Law Library

National Legal Research Group has been consistently good when I have asked them to research on various topics, from agency to zoning. Go to the link to find their main office, which is the one I have used. They also  have a southwest division located in Blanco, Texas, phone 1/888/780-8975 for a cost estimate.  (Blanco is a charming town, not a place you will find on the map, but the barbeque in the towns around is good, and the river is a relaxing place to float.

If you want a "user friendly" law resources site, we definitely recommend you start with www.OneBigBlawg.com  It is a  free resource for lawyers, designed as a knowledge management site for attorneys. OneBigBlawg combines jurisdiction-specific legal research and reference forms and  tools, and an attorney collaboration interface.  For good measure it even includes local bar events and announcements, all at one site. OneBigBlawg offers all of its information with both state-by-state and national searchability.  Tip: there are interactive discussion forums, allowing attorney visitors to post questions, advice and practice tips, which are automatically archived in a key-word searchable index.

ABAbooks.org -  the American Bar Association's Web store offers about 1,500 ABA products -- books, CDs, DVDs, audiotapes and videotapes, magazines, journals, online catalogs, course materials and newsletters.

DiscoveryResources.org  provides articles, news and Web links related to electronic discovery. The links include  links to case law, rules and regulations, CLE Webcasts, and news articles..

JuryTest is an alternative to live mock trials.  It uses audio of the lawyer's spoken-word presentation, which the lawyer records (case summaries and arguments) using a toll-free telephone number.  Jjurors listen to the lawyers via RealAudio. As they listen, they look at documents and exhibits pertaining to the case.  The cost is $390 or more per case, based on the number of jurors, arguments and other factors.
