Consultant Project Manager,
Corporation Legal Compliance and Ethics Officer Program (LCEO program)
if you already know you want to talk to us, without reading more that we have on this site, stop here and
If you want to know more about what we do, read on!
Our ten steps in a typical project to set up an LCEO
program for you.
- First, we talk with top management (e.g., the CEO and chair of the Board
of Directors) and get their decisions on the organization's goals, what top
management thinks is happening now in the company, and what management
wants their organization to do. Then we do some or all (or other items)
of the following items. We provide what you need!
- Second, we talk with your existing corporate attorney or legal
department. Adding their legal expertise to our experience, we work with
them to develop an initial list of legal compliance items with which your
organization needs to be concerned. We then work with the initial
list, and we bring it back to your attorney with our additions and
suggestions, before we go to the next steps. We are not your attorney.
We work with your attorney, to set up a combined ethics and legal compliance program to meet their legal goals.
- Third, with top management, we do corporate strategic planning. (This process
usually involves a corporate strategic planning retreat of a day long length
with selected top management.)
- Identify - Specify - the desired goals and desired compliance in at
least 11 separate areas.
- Identify the individuals or departments that should play a role in
assessing or developing the legal and ethics policy.
- Assign a difficulty rating to assessment and development activities
associated with the legal and ethics compliance policy.
- Identify common hurdles that the development team should be prepared to
address
- Fourth, we go back internally to your corporation, at appropriate points,
and do an ethics audit of what you have now. .
- Fifth, we
complete the planning of the corporate ethics culture compliance program, and put it into
written form. We want to leave you with a program in place that
government agencies will take into account when contemplating action or
evaluating your compliance with court sentencing guidelines.
- Sixth, we now need your green light to proceed, and on what to proceed.
- Seventh, we do the nuts and bolts of implementation. We direct what
needs to be directed. We do what needs to be done. We will supply
any needed outsider persons to do the planning/implementation of the working policy and
procedures for implementation --- including the education of your employee managers how to coordinate
planning/implementation of the corporate compliance and ethics program.
- Eighth, we train your employees (not just the managers) so they have
awareness/understanding of ethical principals consistent with the mission and
values of the organization. This is the critical step to instill
in your business the compliance you want.
- Ninth, we coordinate the maintenance of the corporate-wide program.
- Tenth, we leave you with a project completed and a turnkey legal
compliance and ethics system in place.
Ethics drives superior
business performance!
